Adult supervision for under 14s is advised
Virgin Territory contains content that some people may find upsetting.

VIRGIN TERRITORY takes a bold and uncompromising look at our hyper-sexualised culture and the impact it is having on girls and young women growing up today. We all want to be ‘liked’ and ‘followed’, but what effect does performing for the camera have on our lives?

“With a sensational cast of performers who combine technical skill with brilliant body language and emotional depth, Vincent delivers forceful messages through her poetic and political dance theatre.”
Josephine Leask, London Dance

VIRGIN TERRITORY is a multi-screen film installation, performed by four children aged 12-14 and four adults, with real-life testimonies, stunning cinematography and bold performances screened across five large televisions.

With moving, resilient performances at its core, VIRGIN TERRITORY asks vital questions about responsibility and being an ‘audience’ as we witness children playing in an adult online world.

“Cinematography, dance, performance and testimonies from parents and teenagers seamlessly spill out across the four screens in a continuous interplay of riveting visual material which is both poetically abstract and grittily real.”
Josephine Leask, DanceTabs, 19 March 2019
“★★★★ An insightful piece into the hypersexuality of our age”
Ruth-Anne Walbank SCAN, Lancaster University Student Union, 16 October 2018
“The most striking element of the production is perhaps the reality of it all; these aren’t stories inspired by Charlotte’s imagination, they are genuine anecdotes gathered from teenagers and young adults.”
Patrick Isitt, The Badger, 12 May 2017
“The films are beautifully made and shot and the layering of the images across the four screens is skilfully done.”
Lissy Lovett, the f word, 18 May 2017
