VDT WORK 1994 – PRESENT
Below is a timeline spanning over three decades of Vincent’s choreographic works. Throughout 2025/26 each production on the timeline will be populated with videos, photos, audio, technical plans, press reviews, publicity, choreographic notebooks and new engagement resources to form an expansive Archive and Engagement Project. Watch out on our socials for further details as we build this exciting new online resource.
Over 30 years, Vincent Dance Theatre has collaborated with a wide range of people, communities and partner organisations to produce the work of Artistic Director and Choreographer Charlotte Vincent on stage, on film and online.
VDT’s touring productions and work on film has been commissioned by festivals and venues across the UK, Europe, USA and Canada. Since founding the company in 1994, Vincent has also developed special projects with specific communities, working with those whose voices may not otherwise be heard.
In 2014, Vincent brought together her production and community practice, involving non -professional participants at every stage of the creative process from participation to making the work to becoming an audience for it.
From 2016, full length live productions were more carefully captured by long term collaborator film maker Bosie Vincent, with the work reworked on film, resulting in the company’s film installations, facilitated screenings and associated ‘engagement spaces’ engaged with and ‘applied’ in both arts and non-arts settings. Vincent’s distinct practice can also be viewed online via VDT’s You Tube Channel and on Digital Theatre +
Productions and special projects are arranged in chronological order on the timeline above. Use the filters to explore the work via the specific themes or topics, many of which thread over 30 years.
