VDT has partnered with Future Creators and Coastal Catalyst to become a Digital Badge Issuer.
A digital badge is an online credential that recognises a person’s skills, achievements or participation in learning activities. Each badge includes verified information about what was achieved, who issued it and the criteria met.
Digital Badges are a simple way to acknowledge the value of creative skills and experiences and to support people on creative pathways. They provide a verifiable record of achievement that individuals can use to support future employment and demonstrate personal development.
Unlike a paper certificate, digital badges can be easily shared on social media, CVs or professional profiles, helping individuals showcase their abilities to employers and educators.
For creative organisations, badges provide a clear and credible way to recognise progress and engagement. They make learning visible, motivate participation and connect personal growth with real world opportunities. With this in mind, VDT is currently developing a range of digital badges to accompany our Participation. Production and Continued Professional Development work.
Our initial badges are for young people taking part in free movement workshops who can claim three Foundation level badges, recognising their learning: Collaborative Thinker, Creative Thinker and Respect & Consent in Dance.
