Open Practice Monday Mornings, Moulsecoomb Hall

Continued Professional Development, East Brighton, Weekly Session

14 Sep 2026 - 22 Mar 2027

A free, artist-led, open space for local dancers to develop and sustain their practice alongside others in Brighton.

Starts 9.00am Monday 14 September 2026

This autumn, VDT is opening up the space we share at Moulsecoomb Hall, Lewes Road, Brighton on Monday mornings for a new Open Practice session for freelance dance artists to develop and sustain their practice. Open Practice is a free drop-in session for dancers working at any stage of their career, based on the brilliant model from our friends at Wainsgate Dances. Open Practice is a place to do your own thing, alongside others – it’s a way to support, and be safely supported by everyone in the room.
  • Doors open at 9.00am.

  • A playlist starts at 9.15am and runs for 60 minutes.

  • From 10.15-11.15am continue your practice, rest or grab a cuppa.

  • At 11.30am the space will close.

  • Come as often or as little as you like.
  • Refreshments will be provided.

This session is co-run with a group of artists living locally in Lewes and Brighton who are committed to supporting and activating the programme.
Register your interest here, or just turn up to move and connect with other practitioners, 9.00am Monday mornings.
