
Free Introductory Workshops
VDT lead a range of free, introductory workshops specifically designed to engage women and young people in creative activities.
From January – February 2025 VDT are continuing to work in partnership with Quiet Down There (QDT) to offer free creative health workshops to provide women and those who identify as women a safe, reflective space for creativity and self-expression.
TUESDAY WORKSHOPS
Where: Vincent Dance Theatre Studio, Floor 8, New England House, New England Street, Brighton.
When: Tuesdays 10.30am – 12.00pm
Dates: January 7 / 14 / 21 / 28. February 4 / 11 2025.
Group sessions are facilitated by VDT’s Artistic Director Charlotte Vincent and visual artist Saj Fareed to explore creative ways of carefully capturing women’s stories through writing, crafting, making and moving. Refreshments are provided!

FRIDAY WORKSHOPS
Where: Harriett’s Press, Studio 6, on the balcony in the Open Market, Brighton.
When: Fridays, 11.00am – 12.30pm
Dates: January 10 / 17 / 21 / 24 / 31. February 7 / 14 2025.
Led by Saj Fareed, an artist/facilitator who works mindfully with a variety of crafting techniques, our Friday sessions unlock creativity and offer an opportunity for creative self-care. A free laundry service and refreshments are available. Places limited to 3 people.

These workshops are part of VDT’s creative health project, Art of Recovery, developed in collaboration with women in recovery from domestic violence and substance misuse.
