Archive & Engagement Space

2015

‘Contemporary feminism is alive and kicking in Vincent Dance Theatre’s Archive & Engagement Space…amazing!’
Participant, March 2015

The ARCHIVE & ENGAGEMENT SPACE formed part of 21 YEARS / 21 WORKS, a live and online collection of Artistic Director/Choreographer Charlotte Vincent’s film and production work from 1994 to 2015 that toured to Shoreditch Town HallWarwick Arts CentreDance Xchange,  Yorkshire Dance and VDT’s Space in Brighton in Spring 2015.

VDT’s A&E SPACE was a facilitated opportunity for people across ages and backgrounds to take part in a series of practical and digital tasks exploring VDT’s past work, Artistic Director Charlotte Vincent’s creative processes, and wider issues of gender equality and female creative practice.

Participants’ creative responses can be seen below in our ARCHIVE & ENGAGEMENT SPACE PHOTO GALLERIES. We have also uploaded photos of the 21 tasks that triggered this work into the Participants Response’s albums to use again, should you wish to gain further insight into VDT’s work.
