Giulia Mazzei

Board Member

Giulia is a communications and marketing specialist based in London. A former classical and contemporary dancer, she changed career 6 years ago and has built her experience in the luxury, art, design, fashion and jewellery industries. Born in Cambridge, UK, Giulia grew up in Italy and trained at the ‘Hamlyn School of Dance’ in Florence under the direction of Franco de Vita and Raymond Lukens. After completing her Cecchetti Method Major examinations she furthered her studies at La Scala Theatre Ballet School in Milan and took part in staged productions across the country with Aterballetto’s professional programme for emerging dancers. Following a dance project in Stockholm, Sweden, she was invited to join Portuguese dance company Vortice Dance as a full time company member with whom she toured nationally and internationally.

Most recently Giulia has worked at Swarovski, under Nadja Swarovski, to help realise her vision for Atelier Swarovski by working on multiple designer collaborations, across fashion, architecture and design, following a century-long tradition of close collaboration with some of the top houses of couture.

Giulia joined the Board in 2019 and will support VDT with her marketing and communications expertise.
