Darren Anderson studied at the Queensland University of Technology and the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. After graduating in 2004 he worked with Jam-Bird Co Lab in multi-media dance pieces Dispatch and Dispatch 2. Darren moved to the UK in 2005 and devised and toured Broken Chords with Vincent Dance Theatre. In 2006 he worked for Welsh Independent Dance on the Dance Bites tour throughout Wales, and the Chris Haring Project. In 2007 Darren performed in Opera North’s Dido & Aeneas/Les Noces, choreographed and directed by Aletta Collins and with h2dance on To Die For, which toured the UK and Scandinavia. Darren currently dances for CandoCo Dance Company, with work by Nigel Charnock and Hofesh Shechter. With CandoCo he performed at the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. Darren is based in London.
