Alex Williams
Board Member
Alex is an emerging participation specialist and creative producer working in the arts sector. Alex already has experience working with a wide range of community and youth groups and collaborating with artists to create opportunities for the public to engage with arts and culture. He passionately believes that the arts organisation have a responsibility to the public be open and accessible to as many people as possible and that interactions with art and culture can change lives.
Alex has worked at Southbank Centre, London since 2014, currently in the position of Participation Coordinator. He has also worked at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Paradise Green Venues and volunteered with Spark Arts Festival for Children and as a freelance facilitator at Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester. Alex attended University of Leicester from 2010 – 2014 studying History of Art and English and also attended Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam for a year as part of his studies.
