After graduating from the University of Sussex, Adrian worked as a performer and session musician for many blues, pop and rock groups, including several years as lead guitarist and cellist for the band James. He recorded four albums with the band, two of which were produced by Brian Eno, and toured extensively in Europe and North America. Following postgraduate studies at City University, London, Adrian taught music in further education before resuming his career as a performing musician. Recent work includes guitar for productions at Mercury Theatre, Colchester, and Derby Theatre, and solo performances (cello, guitar and vocals) for Paul Dutnall’s film The City Not The City, which was shown in November at the Cinecity film festival in Brighton. Currently Adrian is also working as cellist for the folk group Oysterband; he has recorded an album with the group, and will be touring with them in the UK and Europe this year.
