In 2012 VDT made and toured Motherland to great critical acclaim. VDT are re-touring the show to the Edinburgh Fringe (August) and Peak Performances in New Jersey, USA (October) in 2013 with the original cast. However, the 79 year old performer Benita Oakley cannot perform due to ill health and we are looking for a female performer to replace her. We need an experienced person aged 65+ with performing experience. We need someone who can learn and deliver text into a microphone, sing and perform simple movement sequences, as well as take direction from the Artistic Director and Rehearsal Director. There will be a weekly fee, all travel and accommodation is paid for and we can offer support getting to and from venues if necessary.

The closing date for expressing interest is the 17th May 2013 and we will be holding audition workshops on the 23rd & 24th May in London (venue tbc).
