INSPIRED! AT DANCE EAST

Charlotte Vincent led an intensive weekend for professional and emerging dance practitioners in Ipswich in October 2004, leading a release based class and a workshop sharing some of choreographic approaches and devices that Vincent Dance Theatre use to make new work.

This organic and challenging workshop focused emphasis on release work and partnering as a way to open up, incite active listening and encourage a softening of the body. Participants were invited to make individual choices, be connected, powerful and dynamic in their approach to making work, and led through a process that allows individual movement qualities, individual stories and emotional integrity to take prominence.
